Backpack luggage

If you thought the backpack was a relic of the school days, think again. Backpack luggage is a simple way to store items that is also one of the most comfortable methods of transporting a load for an extended period of time. Seriously, have you tried holding a twenty five pound briefcase for an hour? It gets to be a pain quite quickly.

Backpack luggage on the other hand distributes the weight across your shoulders and keeps it in line with your center of gravity. They can carry a surprising amount of weight, and do it in comfort. Even a shoulder slung bag can throw off your center of gravity, or even worse, twist your back. At the very least, a heavily loaded shoulder strapped item will cause shoulder discomfort.

A piece of backpack luggage also benefits from the “other items” clause in airline regulations. Most airlines will allow you to take a purse, briefcase, or other piece of small baggage with you on a plane in addition to your carryon. Depending on the size of your backpack, it can fall into this category, making it essentially a free addition to your luggage.
